WAIANAE, Hawaii —The city’s Ocean Safety Division says shark warning signs were taken down Monday after there were no more sightings off Nanakuli Beach Park and Yokohama Bay.

Ocean safety officials say an 8-foot-long shark was swimming just offshore of Yokohama Bay around 3 p.m. Sunday.

The beach was not closed but signs were posted and the public was advised to stay out of the water.

Ocean safety officials also confirmed a 6-foot-long shark was spotted offshore from Nanakuli Beach on Saturday and Sunday.
