12-year-old bitten by shark off of Windsor beach

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Indian River Fire Rescue responded to a shark bite victim at Windsor’s beach, according to Indian River County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Eric Flowers.
The victim was a 12-year-old child, according to authorities. The child was transported to the Indian River Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities have not identified the type or size of shark involved, but did confirm the child suffered a shark bite.
A witness on scene said that lifeguards described it as a small shark, according to a facebook post.
