Lowcountry woman recovering after shark attack
ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -
A woman is recovering from her injuries after a shark attack in the Lowcountry.
It happened Sunday when a group of people were boating near Coffin Point in St. Helena Island.
Few details have been released by officials at this time, but we do know is that the group of people received medical help at the Dataw Island Marina.
Crews from the Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District treated the woman before she was flown to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The woman has since been released.
